Zen Qigong Community

Pasted Graphic At Meadowmont we practice Soto Zen using the forms established by Shunryu Suzuki Roshi at San Francisco Zen Center and Tassajara Zen Mountain Monastery and taught by Sojun Roshi at Berkeley Zen Center. We also practice Dayan (Wild Goose) Qigong in the tradition of Yang Mei Jun as taught by Master Hui Liu at the Wen Wu School in El Cerrito.

Zazen settles by thinking not-thinking; Qigong moves by doing not-doing. Together they offer a Way to realize our lives with ease and joy, meeting each moment with our whole body and mind.

We practice not to become enlightened, but to put into play the enlightenment we already share with all beings. As Dogen Zenji, the founder of Soto Zen in 13th century Japan, said: "If you want to realize just this, get to work on just this right now.”
